CSTV, purchased by CBS, has not released total schedule yet
The Swami will delineate the games on a week-by-week basis
Navy gets five dates...
New York, NY (February 15, 2008) CSTV--soon to be known as CBS College Sports TV--has not released its 2008 college lacrosse schedule in the form of a unified game press release--at least not yet.
The Swami will pick up all CSTV televised games on a week-by-week basis unless or until CSTV releases its total season schedule in one memorandum.
ESPNU Announces 2008 schedule:
Many games will originate in the Baltimore area...
Many, but not all, ESPNU Division I lacrosse games will be produced in conjunction with WMAR-TV, Channel 2 in Baltimore. Channel 2 is Baltimore's only ABC affiliate, and ABC is owned by Disney, which also owns ESPN. Some of the games which are tape-delayed by ESPNU may be available live on Channel 2 to viewers in the Baltimore area.

Please note: these links are only as good as the Swami's knowledge. And, while that, in itself, is considerable, the Swami solicits email from fans who would like to add links. So, if you know of a TV or radio feed that is missing from this list, you can share it with others by emailing the Swami. Of course, from time to time, these links change. If you are aware of any broken links, please let the Swami know about those also.
Other TV Links:
The following cable stations broadcast Division I lacrosse games from time to time. Usually the schedules are made up on the fly during the season. The Swami says to check the TV Guide web site by searching on the word "lacrosse." Some TV games are back hauled. What is a back haul? When TV stations broadcast games, the signal from the cameras at the game have to be transmitted to the broadcast transmitter. Many local stations, like Baltimore's Channel 2, transmit the signal from the field to their station over regular telephone lines because they are close to the broadcast point. You can't tap in to those. But when the field and the broadcast source are separated by a meaningful distance, a dish truck at the field uplinks the signal to a satellite which, in turn, sends the signal to the broadcast point. That signal (on the way up) is called a back haul. C-Band satellite dishes (the 6' type) can intercept the uplink signal just as easy as they can catch it on the way down. Satellite magazines have sections that are pretty good at guessing which satellites and which specific channels will be used for back hauls. Likewise, every sports bar has a guy who can zero in on a back haul. So, if you see a game being back hauled, call your local sports bar and ask them if they'll put it on for you.
